Soooo good!!!! I knew Austyn's backstory would produce a great book. The absolute best quote in this entire book, though, is "Glad I got the real one"!!!!! I cannot WAIT for the next book!

I loved this story, it was full of emotions and storyline that made this a winner. I could not put this story down, this story focused on Ryker and Austyn. Ryker has known for years about how Austyn feels about him but doesn't make a move until something happens and he realises that he will be the one to protect her. Austyn has gone through some trauma but nobody in the MC or her family know the true extent of what she has been through, she a strong heroine. Ryker has history of his own but will slowly build a relationship with Austyn. This book has plenty of action and romance, along with Ryan Michele's stellar writing makes this another winner and my favourite of the series so far, Looking forward to the next one

This is the first one I have read in this series. This was a very touching book for me. I absolutely love MC books but this one was different . There was more emotion in this book. This one was more directed toward the female part of the MC really. But none the less it was a great book. I absolutely love reading about Austyn.She is a woman fighting to get her life back after something happened that completely changed her life. I wanted to cry when I finally really realized what had happened to her. But i was cheering her on every step she was taking while she was trying to get over feeling the way that she did. But the end of the book I was in tears of happiness because she finally dealt with her past and find the one thing she deserved. This book was very well written and bought out exactly what the author was trying to bring out I feel when you read it. Amazing character chemistry just amazing well written book from beginning to end. Absolutely loved it. Can wait to read more in this series.

First Impressions
Bound By Vengeance was a story that I knew would be a rough road, considering what the heroine we know has gone through from the previous installment, so I also knew that there was a chance that this book would also contain aspects that I would struggle with. I admit that I really struggle with a certain element in the story (which I will go in further depth to so if you don't want that spoiled skip the review), but what made it work was that the author really fleshed it out in a way that for the most part made sense. It also has some fun pining elements, her family coming to support her and a road to vengeance against those that wronged her. I also loved getting back to the Ravage MC. Its such a fun MC series for sure.

Summary
In this story, we have our heroine, Augstyn, who lost her child and was sexually assaulted, and she is full of secrets and pain and her family is determined to get her free of the past so that she can move on. But Austyn is full of pain, regret and sorrow in a way that no one can fully understand. But now she is on the road to vengeance against the man that raped her and put her on this road of self hate. Austyn has been in love with Ryker for many years, but he has never seen the woman. But now she nows she is dirty and ruined for Ryker and could never be good enough. but Ryker is determined to show Austyn that she is worth loving no matter what it takes.
What I Loved
There are many elements to this story that I did enjoy. I really loved the unrequited love and the relationship building aspects to this story. There is something about a pining heroine I love. I know most romance readers prefer the hero pining, but honestly, that is way common, so I tend to go after the heroines that ache and yearn for their men in such a honest way. There is something about reading a MC romance that keeps the heart so raw and full of edge. What we see in the Bound By Vengeance novel is a story of redemption, healing and most of all raw pain and guilt. Its a story that isn't easy to read. What I really appreciated was the way that the author really fleshes out these feelings about what the heroine does. About her healing process and learning to accept the mistakes that she has made and learn to live with those mistakes. Its definitely not an easy road for her, and we see her work through the trauma but also her own sins and how Ryker assists her in cleaning out those wounds and learning to live with herself. And its not an easy road for Austyn, and we definitely see a side to abortion that is rarely focused on. How the psychological effects of such a decision has on the woman. Society may be all about pro abortion, but it never talks about how it affects the person that makes that decision. Ryan Michele really handled this aspect well. I am not a supporter of having abortion in romance, so I admit I struggled, but I do feel like this author really focused on it well and showcased the emotional and mental harm it can cause as well. Most authors that place this aspect in a romance never flesh it out in this way, and I appreciated this author in willing to handle it in this story.
What I Struggled With
Well its pretty obvious, but the biggest component of the story that I had a hard time with was the abortion. The heroine is raped, and has an abortion. To be honest its never even explained why she even really did it. I do wish that had been answered, as it would have answered some questions. That was my biggest issue and also I personally just don't think abortion should even be in a romance. But while I had issues with this, and I almost DNF this book because of it, I stuck with it, because I had a feeling that the author was writing it in for a reason and I appreciated what was delivered in this story.
Narration
This narration was awful!! Especially the narrator who did the male POV. I wish it had been done by Joe Arden, but it most definitely wasn't Joe Arden, which was disappointing. Its why I have been doing these books in audio haha What really rubbed me the wrong way, was the male narrator and how he handled the female dialogue, it just made me cringe so bad. The female narrator did a solid job though.
Overall View
Bound by Vengeance was a heart felt story that tackled some very difficult issues with delicacy, its a story of healing and working through the process of guilt and grief in such a relative way.

Bound by Vengeance is the 2nd generation of the Ravage MC series. It's also the 3rd book in the Bound series. It can be read as a standalone but really would you when all these amazing characters are in the other books. Just saying.
Austyn is ready to stop living her life in fear and from the sidelines. She is ready to take back her life. It's going to be difficult with what she had been through buts it's about darn time. Now she just has to figure out to get her overprotective family to see she is ready even when they aren't. Growing up in the Ravage MC family she knows what's what about the life. She is ready to put her big girl panties on and handle her own problems. That was all fine and dandy till the one guy she has loved from afar decides its time he claims what's his.
But is he too late? Is everything changed for the worse? Can they ever find the way back to each other?
Okay let's start out with, that COVER. It's amazing and perfect for this series. I absolutely love it. The cover models are who I pictured to be played by Austyn and Ryker while reading this book. I have a thing for books that suck me in and kidnap me as soon as i open the book. Let me just say that Ryan Michele books have a way of doing just that. Right from the start I connected with Austyn. I felt what she was going through when she would go through the emotions of being uncertain and her need to branch out and be herself again. You feel for her because what happened to her is such a secret and her need to retaliate is so strong. I don't blame her, I would also if i was hurt like she was. Ryker grew up in this world also so he knows what Austyn needs. He has such an intriguing and heartbreaking past. Both of these two have had insane things going on in their past that they seem to be ashamed of. But I feel like they shouldn't be because it's made them into these strong people. I feel like if they got together before the stuff that happened to her they wouldn't have this deep connection. They do have a long way to go in order to be together. If they even do. Austyn has to overcome and not feel so alone with what happened to her. And Ryker has to get past his heartbreaking past. They need to find within themselves before they find anything within each other. It's so heart wrenching to read the past and how they are dealing with it, along with the emotions they feel for each other. I devoured this book in a matter of hours and them reread it because i needed to see if I missed anything. Both times I was caught up in this emotional ride that I am still not sure I ever got off of. I just wanted to go in and hug these to and go out and get my own retribution for them. That's how deep the connection i felt for them was. This book starts out with a bang and ends with a bang with all the little bangs in between that keep you hooked.
