This was an amazing read! The only reason this one isn’t getting 5 stars is because everything came together too quickly in the end compared to the first book. It also seemed to come out of nowhere, but it was still written so well and gave me the shock of the century. Definitely wasn’t expecting this ending. Worth the read!!

græder græder og græder så meget at jeg måtte kæmpe for at læse de sidste kapitler af bogen gennem mine tårer. måtte stoppe mig selv fra ikke bare, at bestille den sidste i serien online lige med det samme.

As soon as I finished the first book in this series, I put books 2 and 3 on hold at the library. Book 2 did NOT disappoint, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The mystery was intriguing and was satisfyingly solved, in addition to wrapping up a loose end from book 1. There are some odd British-isms, like in the first book, despite being set in Connecticut, but everything else was so compelling I let that slide. Can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy!

This book really makes you love Holly Jackson. Her writing style is so creative, her characters engaging, and the themes/tone of her work is so real.

Good Girl, Bad Blood is a sequel that actually got better than the first in the series and I can say it’s largely due to the fact Jackson doesn’t shy away from the nitty gritty. She wrote YA, but she doesn’t gloss over tragedy, heartbreak, or all the ways people can be awful to each other. At the same time, she writes empathetic villains who turn out to maybe not be the villain at all, redemption stories you don’t expect, and the reality of exactly what’s left behind once the mystery is solved. And I LOVE that. I love that she plays with the intricacies of human emotion because nothing is black and white, but even the grey is often sanitized. But this is the grey unapologetically at its smudgiest.

Overall, I also really enjoyed that Pop has that moment where she realizes she doesn’t have to be likable to be herself. It’s a hard lesson, but amazing development. 10/10 would recommend this whole series so far.

Firstly, I really hope my girl Pip gets a LOT of therapy after what’s happened to her in the first two books!

I really enjoyed this book, I felt like I flew through it and it was such an easy read but also gripping. I just wanted to know what happened! I liked how it was similar to the first book but it was more of a “what happened” mystery as opposed to a “who did it” mystery. It felt familiar but not a carbon copy of the first book.

The ending was not predictable, as such, but I did have an inkling as to who was involved partway through the book so I did drop the rating by 0.25 stars. In saying this, I definitely didn’t predict the whole story and the why of it all so it was very interesting.

I got attached to the characters and felt for them as their stories unfolded.
And the relief I felt when Jamie was found alive, on my god!

I really enjoyed this and am excited to read the third instalment in the series!
