  • C: by now you know the main characters quite well, i still get confused with te side characters though. i coulnd't describe them in more than two sentences if i had to & when charlie green turned out to be the catfish i was trying to figure out who his is during the whole chapter...
  • P: it definitely didn't go where i thought it would, but over all i found it a bit wired. the whole child brunswick thing was super interesting and gave a cool twist, but the way it played out... idk. i was definitely expecting something different
  • L: i don't know with these murder mysteries... there are always thing that don't make that much sense to me. the whole layla meads thing, how did she get in contact with all possible child bronswicks over tinder or instagram..? hwo did nobody notice that she used pictures of some student, i thought kilton was a small town. why did stanley keep jamey in his bathroom for seven days??? like whaat? like i get he was scared but whaaat?
  • E: it was entertaining, would i listen to it again? no.

Amazing book! Adventurous but you have to read the first book to understand a few things. Suspenseful and had me reading till 12:30 last night! Amazing plot and amazing characters.

I liked this book better than the first one in the series. Pip was more lovable and didn't make as many morally wrong things as she did in the previous book.
I really thought that the body would be Jamie's for a while and I really didn't think that he would turn out to be alive but he did somehow. I really did feel for Stanley. Although he didn't seem like a good guy in the first book he redeemed himself after apologizing and I don't think that it was wrong for him to want to live a normal life.
We are not our parents and I don't think a ten year old child would understand what his father was doing and what he was helping his father with. It was really sad when he died, I really wanted him to survive. Although I also feel for Charlie murdering a person is not the solution. Stanley was living a life without hurting people so I think that him murdering Stanley was not justified. I don't know I hope he is found and charged. Also I hope Max gets killed in the next book.
Overall a solid read, really kept me on my toes.

"Good Girl, Bad Blood" by Holly Jackson delivers a gut-wrenching ending that left me reeling and heartbroken. The last few chapters were an emotional rollercoaster, and finding words to describe the impact feels nearly impossible. The unexpected turn at the conclusion took me by surprise, defying all initial expectations.

The character development, especially regarding
Stanley Forbes
, was masterfully executed. Jackson skillfully made me feel for his character within just a few pages, transforming my indifference into genuine emotional investment.
His death, difficult to read, left a lasting impact, and I secretly hoped for a miraculous survival that never came to pass.

The evolution of Holly Jackson's writing in this sequel impressed me, and the anticipation for the third book is palpable. While the ending was a bitter pill to swallow, it speaks to the author's ability to evoke deep emotions. A break from the intense feelings might be necessary, but the prospect of what the next installment holds is equally compelling.

Jackson does it again in the sequel to AGGGTM. Pippa once again investigates as her friends older brother goes missing and the police won't investigate. In this new installment Pippa is determined to rescue her friends brother and return him safely. This new book retains all the joy and intrigue of the first while remaining different from the first books story. The only way this is really bad though is because Sal is in this book way less than the first unfortunately. I am so excited to see where Jackson takes the story into the second and accompanying novella.
