The volume started out just okay, but ended on a high note with the Bruckner story.

I'm having my issues with this series as a whole, but the stories in this volume are pretty great.

Thank goodness I'm caught up at this point, but otherwise I might have to quit. The Unwritten is intriguing, but the story has completely lost me. Maybe it's me -- but even so, I can't enjoy a book if it doesn't make sense to me.

This is such a great series, especially for adult fans of Harry Potter!

Some of the artwork was phenomenal, but overall it seemed like too much of a filler story with not a lot of plot development. Still got me excited for the next one!

Overly confused. Torturously weird. Really just too much. But if I cared about the characters, the full cast of characters, well it would probably still be too much, but less so. Very little is added to move the story along. Or if something is added, it is so convoluted as to be unnoticeable. Again maybe it would be improved on a re-read. So what's really missing? Heart. Meaningful back-story. Real story. Sigh.

A bit meandering, even for this series. Still, I enjoyed it and am glad to get a little more time with these characters and this world.
