"Domestic bliss takes on a whole new meaning! Domestic service can yield the most intimate and serendipitous sexual possibilities. Here, five masters of the erotic narrative take great delight in exploring those possibilities. Slip into the pages of Made for Hire to find your own domestic bliss. It's a pleasure to be at your service!"

I didn't know what to expect, I usually don't when I follow an author and stumble upon new anthologies that uncovers more talent. Made for Hire was a very pleasant surprise. 5 very well written short stories.

1) Sweet Sweeter by Kyoko Church - Laura gets obsessed with boyfriend Jack's barely-legal pool boy, Mason, after he spies on her while she's masturbating. I really liked this one. It's written from the pov of Laura. m/f kink: orgasm denial, foyeurism, femme-dom.

2) Gardening Days by Esmeralda Greene - this one had me laughing. The petite spitfire Mrs. Bouchet has it in for her young Mexican gardner. A lot of dirty (literally) and very angry sex between the freshly planted tulip bulbs :-) m/f kink: hate-sex, peeing and a lot of garden soil.

3) Laced by Amélie Hope - a beautiful 5 chapter story about Joanne who comes eye to eye with Ella, the woman who broke her heart 7 years ago. Joanne is hired by Ella's fiancé Kobe to be their wedding planner. Joanne never got over Ella, so can she stand by and watch the woman she still loves get married to someone else? m/f, m/f/f, f/f kink: bdsm, a bit of flogging

4) Safekeeping by Annabeth Leong - A very odd story written from the pov of a house sitter (I don't think we get to know her name) who falls in love with the occupant, Michael Stone. Even while she never meets the guy, her obsession for him takes extreme forms. Her behavior makes Michael take a different house sitter, Leah. And then things get really bizar. f/m (in fantasy only), f/f kink: pet-play

5) L. A. Armoire by B.Z.R. Vukovina - the only historical story (and also my ultimate favorite) in this anthology, set in 1925 Los Angeles. Edith dreams of having her own PI business, but until she has enough money to realise her dream she has to work for low lives like speakeasy owner Leland McCauley. One of those jobs takes her to 1 Bolivar Terrace, the address of Birte Lund, the Danish cinema star. Miss Lund throws the biggest and wildest parties in Los Angeles and Edith, in the role of serving girl, has to find out what exactly happens on these parties. m/f, m/f/f, f/f some light kink.

*Book source ~ Many thanks to Sweetmeats Press for providing a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Made For Hire has five scrumptious selections to whet your appetite. I thoroughly enjoyed four of the morsels, but the last one left me unappeased. And completely confused. I didn’t understand it at all. The other stories are well-written with wonderful characters. The last story puts me in mind of crime noir, but I felt as if I was missing large chunks of the story and that was frustrating. The best part is when the guy is yelling out animal sayings while having sex.

1. Sweet. Sweeter ~ Kyoko Church ~ 5
