I'm just glad this was a duet. Man, the stuff that happened to Scarlett was hard to read event though there wasn't much detail in that one part at her Grandmas house.

Other than the story it self I thought the writing was a bit odd sometimes. It jumped a lot and the transition from one to the other was not smooth at all. But I think it was hard to read because there was so much angst between the characters and I have never read a book with two characters like Dante and Scarlett.

This book had a lot of sad in it. I wish these two can go back in time and start over so that none of what each of them has been through would happen. But they came out on top after it all it was just a bumpy ride for sure.

This book was the ending the filler of part 1.

This book goes through about 60% before it even remotely begins to actually tell a real story and put things in sequence. Again, the majority of this book was more questions and a lot of filler that was mostly pointless.

At the end, it was almost a ridiculous thing with how the questions were answered.

I don't know if it's a new trend in writing where these authors aren't putting as much effort into even thinking about there readers and putting forth a bunch a bull just to wrap it up in the last 3 chapters of the story. It's crazy to me.

This whole story needed to be one full book with filler and a longer drawn out ending. Not just 3 chapters to tie up loose ends.

Amazing, tragic, emotionally gut wrenching with a beautiful ending. The title of this book and the first is appropriately named. I couldn't read this series fast enough.

Like the first book, the author fed you little pieces of information at a time until you get the full story of what happened in the past up until almost the end of this book. While extremely frustrating, it was also the reason I just couldn't put it down.

There is some really tough scenes in this book that may be triggers for some. It was very hard for me to read at times. This was a powerful story and reiterates to me how amazing R.K. Lilley is as an author.

Schade

I have no words.....this series was so good! I literally read both books in one day! I couldn't put it down. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say read this!

Definitely not what I hoped it would be, loved the first book.

Definitely not what I hoped it would be, loved the first book.

Disappointing, but I think I knew that was the case before I even began. It was all filler, trying to be mysterious and leave out crucial information just so it could all be wrapped up at the very last moment... yet somehow so many things were left without any explanation at all.

My rating is for the writing alone.

I was so excited for this book since I loved the first one. This book seemed rushed to be finished. There were so many questions left unanswered. I struggled to keep up with the story line.
