This is a good piece for its genre. Fast action and incredibly gory. Definitely kept me in my toes and scared of the possibility zombies are going to break through my door and eat me.

I am, however, not a huge zombie fan so this book wasn't something I would normally read but it was recommended by a family member.

There are many characters in this novel and it was a little disjointed. But all in all it was entertaining even if not literary brilliant.

Characters: 8/10
Language: 5/10
Description in the novel: 6/10
Action: 8/10
Plot: 6/10
Enjoyment: 5/10
Overall: 6.5/10

A solid three stars.

Too many characters. Too many scenarios. Not my cup of tea.

I didn't realize it, but this was a reread for me. Maybe because of the publication date, but this was a cut above most of the zombie drek published these days. Very few typos, moderately well-developed characters, and a tight storyline made this an enjoyable read. There was something about this novel that made me drag my feet just a bit in finishing and I can't quite put my finger on it. This would normally be a two day read but it took me 5 or 6 days. Still though, this is a very good zombie novel and an easy recommendation.
