I loved Olivia and Colin. I do think some of the things they did were juvenile but I loved the angst. I kind of loved the addition of Olivias family and her nephews. I really liked how they created an emotional connection before smashing.

typically i never rate anything one star, since i usually DNF if i dislike a book enough, but these were extenuating circumstances (i was stranded without another book available). i spitefully spedread most of it and then lightly skimmed the last quarter.

i did not like this book at all. it directly mentions crazy, stupid, love, you’ve got mail, and new girl and reads like a poorly written mashup fanfiction of them all. both mcs are shallow and under-developed. and immature, but not in an intriguing flawed and complex character kind of way. they have no chemistry and i have no idea what they see in each other. (sex, it’s sex, but the sex that’s there isn’t very good.) it has too many pop culture references, uses rl celebs to describe the mmc, and the first person pov style is annoying and indistinguishable between the two mcs.

i am a little bummed because i do love modern epistolary, but we only got like a handful of super short anonymous texting sessions throughout the whole book. and it wasn’t even swoonworthy …

there are many character flaws and mistakes i am willing to accept, but being a shitty and inconsiderate roomate is not one of them! infuriating and unforgivable.

It’s a cute book and a great romcom for everyone that likes a funny and cute relationship with enemies to lovers, with a really funny FC.
I liked the building for their relationship and that they still have their personalities even during the relationship
