I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I thought my love for romance novels was waning but this book brought me out of my reading rut. I loved the main characters and the humour in the writing. A delightful sweet but steamy read.

3.0 to 3.5/5.0 because of some inconsistencies, maybe some unbelievable-ness, but plenty of texting, and cute banter. Underline, highlight, and circle 'chick lit read'. I was rooting for the MC Olivia Marshall the entire time, until the end when she still couldn't get past her misperceptions of Colin. As for Colin, he never really proved how he was his own person, apart from his dad, even though it was alluded to often.

The plot was so cute and the writing was fine for a rom com. I would have given this book a much higher rating if the FMC wasn't so entitled. I get the klutzy quirky type of person she is, but her complete nonchalance at breaking and spilling other people's things, entitlement to invade people's personal rooms/space and use their things is absolutely wild to me. And on top of not caring about those things, when confronted with her horrible invasion and entitlement Olive becomes upset and hurt forcing other characters to apologize to her. Honestly these actions made me hate her and if not for the cute plot, I'd have rooted for the MMC to find a much better partner.

This was one of those books where you didn’t know you needed it until you finished it. I didn’t know I needed a romantic comedy novel (HEAVY emphasis on the comedy) until I finished it. This was like the best ab workout because I’m aching from laughing so hard.
Seriously. It’s hilarious. Olivia Marshall is incredibly likable and adorable and silly and unapologetically herself. I want to be her best friend.
I honestly haven’t a clue how this book isn’t rated higher.
“All this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings.”
“She was less shitshow and more about living in high-definition, wide-awake, full-on color. Or something more poetic than that. But once I’d seen it, I couldn’t unsee it. It was in everything she did, and it was why everyone was drawn to her the way they were.”
