A good end, a bit too good, but eh it is what the series seems all about. It is a nice conclusion, the 7 previous stories braided together to make an intricate timeline worldmap

As much as I adored and loved the previous seven books, this one was so clearly not made by the author (other than the overall direction). The pain of the men in the story is mostly caused by the torture of women. This one did not have the finesse of the first 7 books and it breaks my heart. I mourn for the author and for the story that was never truly told. I’m heartbroken by how badly women were treated in this book. I’m trying to edit the story in my mind for how it should have been written. What an absolute sad way to end the series. Can men imagine struggles without women being so violently assaulted being the center? How did he learn nothing from the previous books? Women were given so much more respect in the seven books.

I cannot believe that this series is over. It has been my favourite series to read by far. Each book has taken me on a journey. The final book did not disappoint and tied everything up completely.
Kudos to Harry Whittaker for taking on this mammoth task. He should be very proud of himself!
