This is actually a good story, but I just felt a bit duped at how it ended up playing out, and a couple of the things felt like a stretch to fit the ending narrative. What I loved though was that Cady McClain, of soap opera fame, did part of the audio! Who knew? Hope to come across more of her narrations!

the writing and plot were solid and i definitely didn’t see the ending coming. i liked this a lot, but i didn’t love it. i love the way riley sager plays with supernatural elements to keep you guessing whether there’s a paranormal explanation to everything or a logical one. the main downside for me was that i just didn’t feel as invested in the characters as much as i wanted to.

this is great for a spooky season haunted house read :)

I listened to this on the beach all in one day at 2x speed.
Not to be cliche but I never knew what was going to happen next. I enjoyed it even more then the only one left. New favourite author!
It wasn’t even gay, either! I never like not gay books this much!
