Fun chick-lit book. Jennifer Crusie's books are always a fun read. This one had ghosts and a love story (but not ghosts falling in love), but what I like about Crusie's books is that she doesn't hit you over the head with the love story or sex, it is just part of the story.
I recommend if you want a fun, light read.

Thank you, Jennifer Crusie, for being reliably light, funny and fast.

I don't even know how to describe this one, but the characters are fun and interesting.

I had the best time reading this weird, ridiculous book.

This is primarily a romance with a ghost story thrown into the mix in a secondary capacity. I think I'm discovering that I'm not a good audience for undiluted romance. While I mildly enjoyed this, I was never swept up by it, never in doubt about the outcome, never desperate for a happy resolution. But I did enjoy much of the humor.
I note that the perspective shifts between the heroine and the hero, and I enjoyed the sections from the hero's point of view a little more than those from the point of view of the heroine. When I was growing up, I read a bunch of romances that a family friend lent to me, and they were entirely from the perspective of the heroine. It's refreshing to see other points of view.
Bottom line: I think this may well be a superior romance, but I am an inferior sort of audience.
About my reviews: I try to review every book I read, including those that I don't end up enjoying. The reviews are not scholarly, but just indicate my reaction as a reader, reading being my addiction. I am miserly with 5-star reviews; 4 stars means I liked a book very much; 3 stars means I liked it; 2 stars means I didn't like it (though often the 2-star books are very popular with other readers and/or are by authors whose other work I've loved).

I didn't like how the main characters were seperated for most of the book. I didn't get into the male character that much.
