I am stuck in between. Don't know if to give it a 3 or 4 star rating.
First of all, it has it's similarities to fifty (obviously) but it also has it's own story to tell. Which i found more tolerable and less pain of a pain in my ass than 50. But that's just it..i found myself comparing both. At times, picking out what was good about Bared than 50.

Overall i did enjoy reading this novel. I'm not sure I'll read the second though.

I can se why everyone is comparing this to Fifty Shades, but I feel this is much better. The auther is just so much better. Eva and Gideon feel more real. Eva is more intelligant and can say more than "oh my" when she is touched.
For me the book is 4.5* The last half is missing because thebook is too close to FS. Day can write the fingers off James any day. So I wonder why she wrote her book so close to FS.
I can't wait to read the next Crossfire book

It reminds me of 50 Shades of Grey. What came first? Anyway, this one was good.

A refreshing change that's not at all like 50 shades except for the part where they are about millionaires. I loved Gideon with all his possesiveness and flair. Eva was great too in her no bullshit way. Cary was a great supporting character. Definite 5!

3.5

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY better than 50 Shades of Grey. I love Gideon Cross's character a 100% more than Christian Grey. Definitely a must read!

Going in, I had no clue this was a 5-book series!!! I was excited there would be more to read. All 5 books have A LOT of smut, which I was happy about. But there’s still a plot and plenty of drama. This felt more real than a lot of the recent, silly, cringey, sitcom-esque romances. I highly recommend the whole series!
