The best of the three Pevensie books by far. Seafaring adventure full of magic, and Eustace's characrer arc feels more justified than Edmund's did.

The more Narnia I read, the less I want to read.

Racist descriptions that even for the time of the book shouldn’t have been okay (racism was never there is no excuse it’s not just some outdated word that was used it was clearly his opinion and thought about foreign people). Then the book was horribly boring, it was a fight to get through despite it being short and I hated every page of it. Still, I started this and I will finish Narnia.

Also, I dislike ship adventures so this was just the book for me.

I basically run around now that I finally read the books and tell people that only watched the film to keep it that way and never think the book might be better. This is the biggest disappointment so far.

I got this book from my elementary school's RIF table. So started my unfortunate habit of starting series with book 3. It's hard to give an objective review now, because so much of my love for reading came from this book which was unlike anything I'd ever encountered. Everything I've read since is, to a small degree, colored by my excitement of reading, re-reading, re^2-reading, ... this book as a kid.
