I really enjoyed this book and learned things. I could see how the middle grade audience would gravitate to one of the heroes and want to do their own research to find out more about each of them.

I definitely want to read more about them. I also loved how it was diverse with each hero and each kid coming from different nationalities and backgrounds.

This was a great book for the audience and older readers.

Exploding Gnomes, Heroes from History and trapped in a video game.... Welcome to Wonderscape.

Ren, Cecily and Arthur are trapped in Wonderscape, an in-reality adventure video game. They must find a way out by completing different levels of the game, each are based on a different hero from time such as Newton, Mary Shelley and Tomoe Gozen. This book is engaging, exciting and feels like a mix of Jumanji with Ready Player One. The characters are fun and we learn a little about each hero as we go as most of the heroes are all real people from history. There is interesting puzzles for the characters to work out and I think its a really great start to a series. Both kids and adults will love to read.

This is a great book which introduces kids to some real life inspirational heroes. The concept of the kids being sucked into a real life game and completing challenges worked well. I loved how the kids were all very different and each had an issue that the group helped them with, be it vertigo, anxiety or phobias the kids were really supportive of each other. They each came from different backgrounds also. There was a lot to think about around AI and human rights which seems like a really relevant discussion for our times.
