Possibly the most organically diverse book I have ever read. So wonderful and I loved the ending. Would absolutely recommend!
The only reason it isn't a 5 star is because I didn't gel with the writing style 100%. There were sections I had to persevere in reading. It wasn't bad by any means, just didn't work for me personally.

I loved this story. I enjoyed the way they handled Gene's transness and the conflicts it would cause. All the minor characters were likable to me. Luis's anxiety was handled well.

THIS IS A DEBUT????? HOW???

This was heart warming and soul melting and mushy and sincere and loving and kind and hopeful. So damn hopeful.

I gasped, I almost threw the book, I almost woke up my wife to tell her when things got dramatic, and I don’t even like baseball!

I really cannot wait to see what else this author can do cause he’s gonna be amazing.
