In these trying times, transmasc gay sports romance is here for me, and I think that's beautiful. I loved this so much!! Very loveable main characters and fun sports stuff. Not that I know anything about baseball, but it was compelling just the same. Gene was such an easy protagonist to root for, and Luis is so adorable. The found family vibes are strong with this one (big shocker, it's a queer romance). Overall, an excellent choice for my semi-annual romance novel.

I love Gene and his good energy. And him and Luis are especially cute together. The representation of anxiety, depression, and trans and queer characters , was heartwarming. Plus, I’m a sucker for queer sports romances!
