This was fine. Didn’t really draw me in and took me some time to finish. Nothing really wrong with it but didn’t stand out to me

This is the perfect start to a fun new series. Without giving too much away, let’s just say that Nicole has some time on her hands so she’s got an exciting new pet project. I really loved Marnie who just wanted to live her life without being dragged into the spotlight. Griffin is a top book boyfriend and their story is a lot of fun. Instant attraction and a fake relationship are always a fun combo and these two did it well. They’re funny and sweet and super steamy together. There’s also an element of whodunit to the story to give a little suspense and one crazy cocktail party that will make you laugh. Not only do we get Nicole and Damien back, but we also see some other characters from Bringing Down The House, like Gary, who is also Griffin’s stepbrother. I’m looking forward to more Fairy Godmother Agency for sure.

I loved this book for many reasons, one of them being that Nicole and Damien play a such a pivotal role.
I laughed, I teared up and I’m sure I was blushing during the steamy moments. These characters are funny and easy to relate to.
I think readers will enjoy this book more if they read Bringing Down the House first, because it introduces so many of the backstory of fantastic characters, however I believe you would still enjoy it as a stand-alone.
If you like rom-coms with a higher heat level, this is definitely the book for you.

4.5 rounded to 5. I love every book with Nicole and Damien. They bring just the right level of chaos to every plot.

Lots of laughs, but surprisingly more intense than I expected..

This series has been in queue on my Kindle for ages. Every so often I see an ad or blurb and remember how interested I was in the series. Well I finally jumped in.

With a name like Fairy Godmother Agency, and a designation as a romantic comedy, not to mention the sneak peeks I’ve read, I was definitely expecting the laughs. What I didn’t expect were the other intense emotions. I can’t express how frustrated and a little mad I was at times on Marnie’s behalf. I loved her, but I also wanted to make her snap out of it. Much like her friends felt, I’m sure. I also wanted to hurt people on her behalf. Like, a few times I even questioned if I wanted to continue- not at all because the writing didn’t deserve it- but because I was tired of being angry and frustrated. Let me be clear- that’s NOT a dig at the author. At all. In fact, it’s because of how well written it is that I felt all the emotions as though I were a participant in the story. And Marnie had a lot to deal with.

Poor Marnie lost her father, got publicly engaged (which was NOT at all her style and left her feeling trapped into saying yes), dumped at the altar, then the video of said event becomes a viral meme. All within a few month’s time. Oh, and she’s also the “lesser than” sister of a well known actress, whose manager is the mother that left her behind to hitch her ride to the top as a manager to the daughter that rose to fame. To say she has not been dealing well is an understatement.

Enter the Fairy Godmother Agency. They are a hoot! I need this group of people in my life. And Griffin is the perfect match to help bring Marnie back to life. And maybe heal some things in himself as well. His was such a wild ride. Lots of laughs, lots of wild emotions, some “who done it?”, and lots of smexual tension and attraction. And laughs.
