Really enjoyable. I read Irwin’s second book in the series first (they are in the same world but not the same main characters). I did prefer the second book as Irwin had definitely grown as a writer.

This book had multiple POVs however it was quite messy and confusing at times. Loved the different perspectives but it could have definitely been refined.

The plot, romance and characters were just as interest as the second book and all still unique.

This book ended up being really cute, so I have no idea why it took me forever to get through. The banter between the main characters was really cute & fun. There were dual POV's but sometimes they were hard to follow. I also with there was more time for the resolution, only having three pages at the end with the HEA made me sad.

Honestly, slowest slow burn EVER, but totally worth the enemies to lovers in the end. Had bits and pieces of Bridgerton, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and so many other beloved classic period dramas. A hit in my book. And the second book comes out in July! 3.5/5⭐️
