This book is about a woman whose dream just crush and crumble, because she became a victim of a tradition called 'Kawin Tangkap'. Kawin tangkap is basically a forced marriage, when a man abduct a woman of his choice against her will, and forces her into marriage. It's a tradition that is actually real. Usually, there's no legal action that is made because they use culture and tradition to defend their act.

Reading this really is mind blowing and making my blood boil. As an Indonesian, I actually just found out about this practice after picking up this book. In this book, we're following the main character fighting for her rights and freedom. This book is a commentary of women rights, gender equality, tradition and many more through a work of fiction.
