I went into this book thinking how am I going to like this book when I dislike Straik so much. Well, leave it to Ruby to make a good, kind marshmallow out of a "mean" pirate. The story was good, but didn't really further the main storyline about all the people they found on the Star until very near the end. The storyline is coming along good now, with clones mixed up in the humans they found on the Star. Can't wait to read the next one, and I don't have to since they are all already out ;)

It was only recently that I came to know that quite a lot of RD's fans have been reading this on her Facebook as updated serial episodes. I don't have an account on there but I'm glad at the same time to have read this in one sitting, especially since I get super cranky waiting for updates. Or life happens.
I'd rather wait it out until the whole thing is done & complete before pouncing on it.

I actually expected Helen & Mathiras to be featured in Corsair Brothers, #3 since..well..the series has “brothers” in the title but I guess Straik ending up as Jade and Alice's brother-in-law works out too.

When I read Adiron's book, the way Straik was described made me imagine him as some sort of a hermit Batman who donned himself in black clothes to blend in, keeping a watch on everyone from the corner of the room.

He actually made me feel skittish, but the Straik I got here was a treat.

• Alien x Human..? (read to find out more!)
• Slow-burn.
• Full-length.
• Overlaps with Corsair Brothers #1 & #2.
• Has a HEA but has to be read as a part of the series.
• Bold heroine who takes no shit from anyone.
• Kindle Unlimited.
• Bonus : Tour of the galaxy.

I still can't get over the fact that these books are full-length. They're a steal!

i do believe i’ve hit my limit of alien-space-pirate-smut.
it’s not that this one wasn’t cute, and sweet, and fun, in all the ways everything ruby writes is — i think i might just be burned out on the theme. ‘alien pirates’ was fun and exciting in the earlier corsairs series, but it has truly fallen flat for me in the brothers’ books.

straik is sweet, and while it’s refreshing to read an MMC who is more submissive than any of ruby’s other MMCs, it just wasn’t my particular cup of tea. ruth is a fun, feisty, and dominant FMC, but this was far, far too long a book for the story that was ultimately told, i think.

i’ll probably be skipping mathiras’ book altogether and diving straight back into IPB and ice home — if any of you have read mathiras’ book and feel i have made an egregious error, please let me know! all i need is one person to tell me it’s worth it and i’ll see it through. as if reading alien smut is a trial.

Finished it, loved it! Super long book. And let me just say, I didn't find one single editing error. How refreshing!
