easily digestible and informative. some of my favourite quotes below!

  • every desire is a chosen unhappiness - its a contract you make with yourself to be unhappy until you achieve it
  • more important to perfect your desires
  • stop asking why and start saying wow
  • what’s the positive interpretation of this
  • you can change it, accept it, or leave it
  • “well, the universe is going to teach me something now”
  • be yourself with passionate intensity
  • to make an original contribution, you have to be irrationally obsessed with something
  • freedom to vs freedom from
(freedom from desire, from employment etc)
  • inspiration is perishable. act on it immediately

informative

This book is really not impactful. It talks about financial freedom and how important it is to develop specific knowledge (something you enjoyed doing as a child that everyone else sees as work, set of unique or unusual combination of skills.) and own an enterprise (if you don't own the losses you don't own the gains either.) It also talks about how important it is to read and keep learning. For me, it wasn't that impactful.

Vraiment bon livre!!! Beaucoup de passages font réfléchir sur la façon d’apprêter la vie en général et sur quoi prioriser notre énergie. Le livre encourage et donne le goût de lire plus:)
