Shame on me for not doing more research before I purchased and listened to this audiobook… but I didn’t realize that it was free and available for download from Naval’s website. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if consumed in this way. The audiobook was difficult because it was a series of “tweets” with further discussion and commentary. I found the structure difficult to understand and enjoy. Additionally, although there were some new and thought-provoking ideas, I just didn’t feel like I got a ton out of this. I liked the book recommendations and will perhaps revisit Naval’s website or other media, but this audiobook fell a little flat for me. 3.5.

4.5 stars. A salient summary of a no-nonsense thinker and doer of the entrepreneursphere.

It is probably one of those books I will re-read multiple times. Huge value. It's like a concentrated wisdom from dozens of books he has read and extracted most important insights. For those who are at the beginning of their journey into a better life, this is a good start.

Re read it again after when it first came out. Still like his first principle thinking, making it v v easy/quick to read and follow through. Some takeaways I personally like: a little bit better decision-making matters a lot due to leverage. Decouple input and output of your work. Learn skills that cannot be trained since its easily replacable. Take accountability and extreme ownership. Changing from "freedome to" to "freedom from"

*3.5? I don’t know, maybe just 3.

Not going to lie, there was some pretty good advice in here and I can tell why Naval Ravikant is a likeable person. A few things had me chuckling and a few things were relatable. I like his almost black and white view on things and how he sees so many things in such less complicated ways than the rest of the world makes them out to be. There were a few passages that I’ve heard/read before and I’m not confident he was the original source, but I don’t think you can hold someone accountable for reiterating a saying in an interview. I do have to say though that this was hard to continuously pick up and read. Maybe it dragged on a bit and I was just constantly reaching for the end even before barely getting into it. Glad I’m finally done, but I’m glad I read it.
