Perfect sci fi.

Very interesting, easy to digest. Voice acting done VERY well I found myself in a little panic towards the end that the voice actor from the first novel wouldn’t be joining us in the sequel, but I’m so glad it’s the same person 😭.

An unlikeable main character, a creative twist to
alien invation
. Not a huge fan of
lying as a plot device
, definitely takes me out of it, but all in all this is just about exactly what I like in a book. Thinking I might not like the sequel as much as the first just by starting it like 3% but we’ll see lol.

There is a lot to like about this book, and I'm looking forward to reading book 2. The humor was just ok, and the romance was weird and a little pointless. But the story is fantastic and creative.

The protagonist is understandably and purposefully flawed unlikable but, if you can get past this - the books has a wonderful message about power, fame, hope and humanity.

Content warning: A description of
gore/body horror from fire and building collapse
is mentioned. The FMC lets the reader know when it is about to occur so that the reader can skip. I loved this inclusion of warning. I wasn’t aware this book had this type of content and was thrilled that I was given the choice to skip over it.

Delightfully entertaining with thought-provoking commentary on fame. Didn't expect it to have me on the edge of my seat at the end

i will always be obsessed with clues, with a puzzle, with easter eggs, with insanity, with batshit crazy bisexuals, with worldwide quests, with intricate and insanely specific pieces of knowledge, with community, with love, with friendship, with science, with music, with aliens, with competition, with female presidents of the united states, with plots that shouldn't work but magnificently do, with narrators who are self aware and kinda suck, with this book.

i did not expect to love this book so much, but I was hooked by the very first paragraph. an absolutely remarkable thing is what the title says, remarkable. it is genuinely insane and stressful and has no reason to exist and i have no idea how hank green came up with the plot. i also have no idea how hank green understands bisexual women so well. this was such an enticing read, i'm so excited to read the sequel and i'll be thinking about this forever.
