What a compelling read! Greta Thunberg's collection of speeches, delivered by the 16-year-old climate activist, prompts deep reflection. It underscores the significance of individual voices in driving change, regardless of where one stands on the climate change debate. This book powerfully emphasizes the urgency of action, highlighting the profound impact future generations will face if meaningful steps are not taken. Despite criticisms of the younger generation, their fearlessness in advocating for change through social media/other platforms is both truly admirable and heartbreaking. Because, as Thungber addresses, they should not have to be doing this.

I don't particularly feel like this is a book you rate especially when I spent most of my time sad and frustrated that in the seven years since the first speech we have gotten very little progress achieved. All the points Greta made then still stand and even though I am left disappointed and annoyed by the inaction her words do spur me to do what I can.

This is a collection of her speeches and while they are very well written and informative, they do not do what she set out for. The intention, I think, was to cause movement and change but now I’m just more depressed and hopeless. Though, wouldn’t I rather go into this with my eyes opened. She is a wonderfully articulate woman and her passion shines in her writing.
