I’ve been reading and loving this author’s books since 2020, and while I have loved the journey and adventures of all her characters, this story felt special in a different way.
This book is a homecoming, it feels like walking into your favorite person’s arms and just being there for a while.
Seeing Logan’s development and journey from the poker club days, to Leah’s role with such a spectacular found family really warms up the heart. These two were absolutely perfect for one another and I loved their story.
I truly appreciate the author’s take on the various different types of relationships and the roles they play in this book, whether it be familial, romantic, or toxic and how the characters handle those relationships with strength and grace.
Having read all of this author’s work, this one truly feels like a love letter to the readers, and it left me with some tears in my eyes.
ThIs story contains humor, banter, found family, pregnancy, insecurities, spice, and beautiful character growth and development.
It’s an absolute must read and Will definitely be enjoyable in any format purchased!

I’m a sucker for surprise pregnancies trope because i just love when the MMC turns all protective and full on daddy mode.
I loved everything about this book, it is fast paced just like i love, everything runs smoothly you get a little angsty for some characters which is everything that keeps you going and you just can’t stop reading !
I love the family dynamic in this book so much, how Logan can trust Will with everyting it’s so sweet.

This was my first book by Maggie Gates and it definitely won’t be my last! Seven of Hearts was such an engaging read with the perfect balance of spice, emotional depth and fun banter. It’s a one-night stand, accidental pregnancy, sister’s best friend romance and I loved watching Logan and Leah’s relationship evolve. Logan was such a caretaker and their chemistry was undeniable. I really enjoyed the way their bond developed, especially as they worked through their emotions and adjusted to their new reality. This was one of the best accidental pregnancy romances I’ve read and I loved seeing their trust and emotional intimacy grow over time. Logan was also so supportive of Leah throughout her entire pregnancy, always showing up for her when she needed him most.
I also really appreciated the complex family dynamics at play. Logan and Will’s relationship was one of my favorite parts of the book. It was so sweet and wholesome. Though I didn’t realize this book was a spin-off of another series, so many of the side characters have their own books. There were moments where I felt like some of the characters weren’t fully explained, but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment. I just truly loved the found family vibes in this story.
I definitely want to go back and read the books in the Beaufort Poker Club series to get to know some of these characters that were mentioned better!
