There are a lot of content warnings for this book. I'll try and break them down into certain spoilers. To begin, some general non-spoiler comments. At the very start of the book, MC's mom died. I don't know if I'd call it an illness or a condition, but it was terminal. Second, as a bodyguard, the MC deals with issues of kidnapping, stalking, attempted violence, etc. They have to protect their charges sometimes which can also require violence. Spoilers related to MC:milcahh's review against another edition

Suicide attempt near the end of the book when Jack is taken hostage and held at gun point (after he tells Hannah he never liked her) suicide is not successful but it wasn’t hinted at So it comes up pretty quickly without a lot of warning. all the warnings I gave I felt were mild depictions.itschelseaw's review against another edition

This is for the EMILY HENRY GIRLIES!!! RUN to get this book rn!! I have no idea how this is not one of the most popular books right now, because it deserves to be EVERYWHERE. Celebrity fake relationship, she’s his bodyguard who was to pretend to be his gf so his sick mom won”t worry about his safety. I just can’t explain how much you need to read this. The sweetness, the BANTER, the character growth and development, mental health, grief, and just the absolute girl boss that is Hannah Brooks. There is also such an interesting and funny plot with some action and suspense that makes it absolutely amazing. This puts every other celebrity romance to SHAME. Unquestionably top tier, INSTANT 5 stars. Again, I’m pretty reluctant to give 5 stars but this was a no-brainer. This book makes my heart so happy. I am shocked, I am flabbergasted, I am in awe of how much I absolutely devoured this book. You will be addicted from the very beginning. I listened to it on audiobook, but I’m ordered it before I finished the book. The absolute CHOKEHOLD this book has on me, it has my heart beating so fast waiting for them to get together. I’m absolutely hooked. Screaming crying throwing up. This is so much more than a Romcom, please read this, you won’t regret it.
Age rating: 13+ (adult characters but fairly “closed door”)
Description: enforced protection agent (aka bodyguard) Hannah Brooks is forced to take an assignment protecting mega action-film star Jack Stapleton after being dumped by her boyfriend/co-worker, Robbie, the night after her mother’s funeral. Except, there is a twist. Jack is visiting home and his mother who is having surgery to remove her tumor and doesn’t want to worry her by visibly having a bodyguard with him because of his stalker. So, he stipulates that his bodyguard has to pretend to be his girlfriend in front of his family. Hannah Brooks is hesitant to cross that line, because she never gets close to the primary (her client), but, she is forcefully persuaded by her boss to take the assignment. When his mother gets out of surgery, her one request is that Jack and his girlfriend stay at their ranch for four weeks until thanksgiving. Hannah is forced to spend 24 hours a day with this actor who she still think is a total jerk… until he isn’t. She starts to get to know Jack, and he starts to get to know her, and she starts to rethink all that she thought about him. This celebrity fake-dating Romcom set on a ranch in Texas will be sure to give you all of the banter, warm fuzzies, and heart warming you didn’t know you needed.
Minor: Violence, Death of parent, Cursing, Grief, and Suicidal thoughts
