This was a cute lil romance read! It was a slow burn, but I love that! If you’re not a slow burn person you would find this boring.

I want to watch the movie of this book quite desperately and assume plans are afoot to make it. Center overdoes a few ideas in this and underdoes others but it’s mostly delightful and fun. It’s a great faux to real lovers situation. It was perfect rainy day reading yesterday but would be a joyful sunny beach day read

Banter, fun, feelings, Jack Stapleton. Finished in 24 hours. The cutest quick read that I just want to go back and start again. I also quite enjoyed that the FMC breaks the fourth wall all throughout the book as it feels almost as if she is a friend telling you about her crazy experiences. Perfect to get you out of a reading slump.

well it was a fun experience! i really enjoyed the writing style. took off one star because i haven't really connected to the characters. i guess i wanted them to interact with each other more? anyway, cute little silly romance book packed with interesting things to think about and quotes about love. recommend!

I really liked this book. Loaned it from the library while waiting for my other books to come off hold and was pleasantly surprised. If I had the time to read this in one sitting when I started it I definitely would have. Read about 20% one day and then the rest today. It was well written slow burn slightly dramatic and left me wishing I could read faster. Total plot twist towards the end had my jaw dropped. Was it cheesy? Yes. But that’s exactly what I read. Would definitely recommend this book and will be reading more from this author in the future. Some will def find it boring and corny but hey that goes for every book!

4.5⭐️. This was adorable. Sometimes a fluffy, feel good rom com is just good for the soul. This book had me grinning like an idiot. The banter was fantastic and it was an excellent slow burn. The way the main characters got together felt very organic and the relationship was perfectly paced. I loved how there was really no pining from our FMC. She acknowledged how good looking Jack was, but never panted or lusted after him, which I really appreciated. I also liked that the way the FMC acted throughout the book aligned with the profession the author gave her.

I also listened to the audiobook as I read along and I really enjoyed the narrator.

Didn't really find any part of this book to be exciting or good. Story line was average and very predictable. Hannah was borderline narcissistic and was very self-absorbed. I also did not care for the narration style the author decided. It's somehow a mix of Hannah trying to recall what happened in the past but like it was happening right at that moment. Jack was supposed to be big deal superstar but his character just did not do anything for me and I imagine a blank face when I try to think about him.

The author does not specify how old the main characters are but I'm gonna assume they're in their late 20s or early 30s. With that in mind, the dialogue between the two of them seems very juvenile and is almost teenager-like. I get that the author was trying to make this a light book that brings out good feelings but the dialogue just fell flat for me.

Lastly, I found Hannah's job as a bodyguard boring and did not care for the this career plot.
