I've recently discovered Katherine Center, but she's quickly becoming a favorite, and I'm here to say that I will forever blindly her books whenever they come out. She has a unique way of adding her humorous twists throughout her stories. I love the thoughts that she adds to her characters, too.

This book was a breath of fresh air and a much needed palate cleanser. I loved Jack Stapleton's family and how it wasn't portrayed as some picture-perfect family. Hannah was so likable and relatable, too. I guess that's part of Katharine Center's charm. Her characters are flawed and relatable.

I absolutely adore this book! It was captivating and sweet and just lovely. It made me happy and I didn’t want to stop reading it. The love was romantic and tender. So happy I picked this one!

Was I the only one who kept picturing Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality? 3.75 rounded up. Now Netflix please make this into a movie.

I liked learning new things with this book, such as women can be bodyguards. Also not everyone wants a big dude for protection, but rather discreet measurements. My biggest issue with this book is how the main female character keeps mentioning the movie star character. Like she was putting him on this level, to me at the end of day he is just a man. Yes, a famous one but just a man.

Anyway, I thought this was a cute rom com and at the end, it was a good read. Some parts I did not expect at all! Usually I can stop the story and know what is coming, but there were definitely some twists and turns I did not see coming at all.

This was a book club pick and I'm surprise to say a good one.

“Because love isn’t like fame. It’s not something other people bestow on you. It’s not something that comes from outside. Love is something you do. Love is something you generate. And loving other people really does turn out, in the end, to be a genuine way of loving yourself.”

Not just a fun plot, but a heart warming and relatable internal conflict. Hannah’s internal conflict of “am I lovable?” was something I related so strongly to. Her journey to understanding her self worth and growth was something I connected to, and for that this book was 5 stars. I am a Hannah Brooks.

Such a cute read. :) Very predictable but many rom coms are so it was expected.
