Maybe I'm just not cut out for short stories. I don't know. But of the 22 stories in this collection, I only really liked five of them. It seemed like the others I either just did not get or did get, really, no really, no please stop explaining it I GET IT. So yeah.

Creo que tenía otra idea de este libro. Siento que pudieron no haberse publicado y nada hubiera pasado. No sé.

I’d forgotten how out there Bradbury can be. But oh that prose! How does he manage to be both unnerving and beautiful? Many of these stories skirt and skim a little, and in so doing avoid being truly deep or brilliant. But I also felt like framing certain sentences. And he’s so prescient. Even the last poem America feels like it could be written today. A great mind.

A beautiful collection of short stories, featuring all the themes and charms and magic of all of Bradbury's works. Adventures in space, in US small towns, in Paris, in the past, in the future, in dreams... Little jewels sparkling with imagination. A classic.

The rating should really be more like 3.25, 3.5.
First impressions:::
Is this a great collection of great stories from Bradbury? Not for a first time read of the man's work, no. Is this a good, solid collection for this fan? Absolutely.

What I most enjoyed about these stories was how they sounded like the voice of a friend, spinning yarns and building tales, some very short, some more developed, all a glimpse into Bradbury's love of storytelling and creating.

I was most surprised by the number of allusions to homosexuality, during a time when it was definitely not as openly talked about as it is now. Were these stories he sat on because he knew people wouldn't be ready? Did he purposefully sprinkle them throughout this book so they wouldn't be so obvious, like a subliminal message?
