Why do I keep doing this to myself, exactly?

Why is it that I returned to this place? I felt like there were even more "vulgar scenes" in this one than in the previous book? It was nice to hear from the previous protagonists before, but I dunno if I can go back to a story that has SO MANY references to SO MANY THINGS like it tries to cram as much of popular (and unpopular) culture as possible within its pages.
