Could have been a 5, but I just wanted more from the conclusion, especially in Rowan and Isadora's relationship. Love, love, love Thistle Grove, and can't wait for book 3.

While I didn't like the romance part of this book as much as the first, I really loved Issa as the main character. I found her relatable on a number of levels. Rowan was fine, even had some good moments, but the relationship between the two of them felt kinda underdeveloped. Felt more like a mystery with some romance rather than a romance book with some mystery. Which is completely ok (I actually enjoyed the mystery plot more than lot of the relationship development), just not as expected.

That being said, I love, love, love, the world building of Thistle Grove. I liked getting into more of its history and magic, and am really looking forward to reading more set in this world.

3.5 Stars.

I did enjoy it and it was a good read but I definitely liked the first book better. This book is in the perspective of Isidora who has to team up with her enemy Rowan to solve a witchy crime.

Oh this one was just as good as Payback! Total plot twist that I didn't think was possible near the end too
