3.5, rounded down. I really enjoyed this book, don’t get me wrong. However, for it be more realistically an “enemies to lovers,” I can’t help but think that they needed better reasons to hate each other in the first place. I mean, she hates him for being petty 7 years ago?? And cast a hex on him for it? And he hates her for breaking protocol a few times and siccing some squirrels on him? Yeah okay. THAT BEING SAID I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere and representation in this book. I will definitely be reading the other two in the series. Perhaps if I read the first I’d understand this one more? Idk. Good read, though!!
