I love the Thistle Grove books. They are so great at holding my attention. I loved the mystery aspect of this book and I kept wondering who did it?

I can’t wait for the third book to come out.

Do not listen to the audio book - vocal fry and weird intonation.

The writing and story feel generic - MC is stubborn, impulsive, absurdly talented. Looks like her mother but isn’t as attractive as her mother. Her mother is over baring and severe. She has a ‘nemesis’ that is devastatingly handsome, the next in line for a family head, and UBER talented. It just seems like some many other witch stories I’ve already read.
