In this installment of the Big Bulls books, Auggie is next up to find his forever man and he does so when Henry makes his way to a bar, trying to break out of the funk he’s been in since his company collapsed in on itself and left him penniless and couch-surfing at his brother’s place. It just so happens that Henry is perfection personified to Auggie, who is bound and determined to show the troubled man that he is valued, desirable, and wanted. Despite his effort, Henry ghosts him for a month until, wouldn’t you know it, suddenly they’re coworkers and they're back in each other's circles.

I honestly just wish more had happened in this book. More accurately: I wish this book didn’t spend so much time being a commercial for future characters’ stories and other Neuhold series, when it should have paid a little more service to the emotional hurdles that Henry and Auggie each faced. At one point when I was checking in with my reading progress, I had assumed I might be just under halfway into the story based on how little had actually happened yet... I was then shocked to see my progress bar somewhere between the 75-80% mark.

I do plan to finish this series, due to Shep and Riggs’ personalities being the most fun out of the lot, but beyond that I think I might be burnt out on Neuhold’s works. I’m not invested enough to go for round 3 of the same old via the tattoo/biker group, and I’m more than a little tired of every single man in Wisconsin being gay. Speaking of Wisconsin, I’ve read all of the Four Bears (minus one DNF) and most of the Big Bulls now, and this is the first book where I’ve ever seen the town that they’re living in actually get named and not just vaguely located as somewhere near Madison – am I wrong? I was so surprised by it happening that it actually took me out of the story for a hot minute.

This book has representation for gays. It has little else in the way of diversity.

The following elaborates on my content warnings. These may be interpreted as spoilers, but I do not go into deep detail.
This book contains:
alcohol use; and, a hint of classism.
That's pretty much it. This might be my shortest content warning section in any of my reviews to date.
