Super informative and injected a little levity whenever possible.

There are many ways to describe Harriet Tubman. Inspiring. Courageous. Unstoppable. Fearless. A force to be reckoned with. I've got so much respect for her. She dedicated her entire life to freeing her people and fought for justice. She risked her life over and over to save others and continually gave everything she had for those in need. A brave, brilliant woman.

What an interesting life she led!

I wish this was twice as long and twice as detailed! What a fascinating human being.

Most of the things shared in the book are things that I've read doing my own research but there were also parts of her life that I didn't know about.

Also, I loved the additional resources included at the end of the book.

This book was soooo good! And I love Harriet Tubman even more from having read it! My only complaint was that I would have liked it to be longer.

It turns out Harriet Tubman was even more awesome than I knew! What an inspiring person!

An amazing book that covers the whole of Harriet Tubman’s life. Many of us only know about her contributions as a conductor on the Underground Railroad but this book gives us so much more detail about her childhood and her work for the Union army during the Civil War. The author did a fantastic job of covering her entire life, especially parts that are not as well known as others, while also solidifying her place in American history as an unwavering fighter against the many injustices she faced throughout her life.

"Tell the women to stand together, because God will never forsake us."

Harriet Tubman is a queen in every sense of the word and I cannot believe her actions and accomplishments are not universally known.

Do other states teach about her?? Should I be surprised that my southern education system that also said the Civil War wasn't about slavery and that the Native Americans left willingly and it's only called the Trail of Tears because so many of them died on their freedom journey (akin to the OREGON TRAIL) doesn't teach beyond the bare minimum of how incredible Harriet Tubman is????

Put this queen on our currency, ASAP. What did Jackson even do. Besides make bridles out of humans and steal a baby. HARRIET FOREVER!!!

I mean, I know we all know it but Harriet Tubman was such a FORCE.
