I really like these short stories. They give an interesting outlook into who Tobias is, and what he does throughout the series.

I felt so proud of Four while reading this. It is really cool to see how he become the man he is when Tris meets him in Divergent.

Read this in 'Four: A Divergent Story Collection'.
I knew it would be amazing to see Tobias as an initiate. How he worked to leave his old miserable life behind and start a new one. A better one. A free one.

The Initiate follows Four’s journey through the first weeks with the Dauntless during his Initiation. It also tells us more about Tobias’ initiation instructor Amar, also a Divergent, and Eric’s involvement in his death.

I really enjoyed this part of the book, Four by Veronica Roth. I do wish there was more development in the extra characters in the story. I wish I knew their histories and backgrounds more, but I understand that Four was an introvert and didn't interact with them much, so it makes since that he wouldn't know this information about them. Also, in Divergent some people did not make the cut, some were hurt outside of the designed fights, some left to become factionless, etc. and in this book none of that happened. I wish a little bit of this would have happened just to keep it even more interesting.
