Phoebe and Marigold and their summer/beginning of school antics is quite entertaining. Oh, and then there's Dakota (and her magic hair), who gets kidnapped by a goblin queen.

I don't know what it is about this panel, but it makes me laugh. I kept flipping back to this page, and it made me laugh. Every. Single. Time.

This is probably my new favorite graphic novel series.

Read for Book Roast's Magical Readathon: OWLs Exams. Subject: Care of Magical Creatures.

I love this series so much.

But I’m pretty sure picking this for my OWL means I’ll never become a Magizoologist.

'Unicorns Vs. Goblins (Heavenly Nostrils #3)' by Dana Simpson is the third in the Phoebe and Her Unicorn series. It's just as funny as it ever was.

This time around, school is out and Phoebe's parents are up to something. The something in question turns out to be music camp. Phoebe's nemesis Dakota has a weird hair day for a while thanks to Marigold. Marigold also gets a visit from her sister named Florence Unfortunate Nostrils (I'll leave it to you to discover why they are unfortunate). Marigold and Phoebe even rescue Dakota from goblins, hence the title.

Phoebe is as adorable as ever, and one of the more normal comic strip kids, which is a total compliment. Marigold is still groaningly vain, but she cares for Phoebe. The music camp strips were fun and reminded me a bit of my own time in music camp, minus the lake monster, of course.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

Sometimes I would think how similar this idea is to Calvin and Hobbes but then I opened this book to the introduction that talked about the similarities and differences. Enjoyable vain unicorn, awkward yet healthy "weird" girl, love it!

Confession: I totally pick up comic books when my Goodreads challenge shows me falling behind on my reading goal for the year. #SorryNotSorry

Also, this is a fun book, but maybe not as fun as the first. Though the music related comics are still hysterical.

I read this out of order so the goblins and the music camp roommate were referenced in later Phoebe and Her Unicorn volumes. It’s nice to see where they originated. And, of course, they are amazing

Possibly my favorite story arc so far - Dakota's sentient hair!

It's a lovely comics for children, where a witty and imperfect little girl, who happens to be friend with a boasting unicorn, lives her normal life, made of summer camp, school and piano lessons.
Marigold is the source of a light humour and she's a fabulous character, always with a charm to impress her little friend.
