Unicorns? Check.
Funny? Check.

I have seen this series go in and out of the library a whole lot. It seems popular with a large, diverse crowd. I mean, who doesn't like unicorns? I actually haven't read any of the other books in this series, but this one happened to come across my desk one afternoon, so I decided to check it out and see what it was about.

It is perfectly adorable. The characters are amusing and developed enough I didn't even need to read the other books to understand what was going on in this book, so that was really nice. Not to mention it was funny. Sometimes kids books that are funny, aren't funny to use older people, but this one was. Or perhaps, it was more my type of humor.

Adding to that, the art is simply gorgeous and the colors are lovely and bright. This is most certainly a graphic novel I'd have no problems suggesting to kids to read. It feels very young and relatable for children.

Sadly, not -quite- as funny as the two previous books. Best joke from this one: the dance of glittering hindquarters.

Cute and I love the idea that this is a new Calvin and Hobbes and meant for kids and adults to enjoy together.

Another wonderful book in the Phoebe and Marigold parade of awesomeness! Like the others in this series, this book is overflowing with cute, filled with surprises, and just completely satisfying.

The goblins are pretty cute, too, and I hope they will make more appearances in future books (honestly, I really wanted more GOBLIN in this book!).

This series is not to be missed. Very well done.

Phoebe and Marigold have some summer adventures including going to camp and learning about Marigold's sparkle magic. Also, Dakota falls in with some goblins, and Phoebe makes some new friends. There are some really good panels in this collection and it's a solid addition to the Phoebe and her Unicorn series.

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

The adventures continue as Phoebe and Marigold carry on their adventures. I truly love this series and would highly recommend it to readers of any age because while written for children, it also is rife with adult humor making it the perfect book to share with your children.

The cartoon about toes is hysterical. You'll have to read it.
