The last book of King of Rittenhouse was about Colm’s story. In this book we can see Colm trying to be wild and free and in the same time we are presented a broken part of him. He was his sister’s protector and father figure and he felt betrayed by her and his bestfriend (check the Fearless king for more details) and in the same time he had his injuries that made him give up. Now, about Imogen I can say that she’s a strong woman, even though she’s broken too. She doesn’t give up when she wants something. She was scared but in the same time she knew she had to face reality at some point. I liked how faithful she was when it come to people she loved.
Overall I liked this story even though it wrecked me a little. Seeing how they helped each other heal and fight with their fears was something else. I loved how the Kings were there for Colm even though he was really mean to them. They were family and family doesn’t give up. By the way, I strongly advise you to read all the Rittenhouse books! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ stars for this great finale. I loved it and I hope that in the future we’ll meet them again in other stories.

Colm & Imogen | surprise pregnancy romance | | M/F | 3 chillis | Book 5

This book was truly awful. Colm was abusive and I hope 17 year old girls don't read this and confuse this for love.

Colm completely stole my heart in this final book of the Kings of Rittenhouse series. Heartless? Don't let the title fool you. I think Colm may just have the biggest heart of all of the Kings, but he also has a huge vault within that heart that he keeps all of his emotions locked inside of. Like anyone who's loved and lost you can't get hurt if you don't let anyone get too attached, right? Losing his parents at a young age made Colm lock up his heart up tight, but it also made him dream of something perfect to replace that hurt. He just doesn't know exactly how to deal with his emotions, he's broken for lack of a better term, but he's also so beautiful in his brokenness. His counterpart is the perfect person to understand him.

So many pieces of the Colm puzzle fell into place in this final book. Colm and Liv Frost lost both of their parents at a very young age forcing Colm to step into the fatherly role over his little sister. Never wanting to disappoint her, mess up, or heaven forbid leave her completely alone he never stepped out of line. Colm was always the responsible King in his group of friends until his sister and best friend, Ford, betrayed him. Now Colm feels lost. With no one to take care and no best friend he's sinking further into the not giving any f**cks. He's reckless, drinking, not returning calls, basically not being Colm. You see, Colm has always been the guy with a plan, the guy who falls fast for a girl, his mind never slowing down. After one date he already has the white picket fence, 2.3 kids and dog scenario planned out before he even really thinks about if he actually likes the girl, which has also led him to several failed relationships. Hence, Colm's self-esteem isn't the greatest and he is going to break your heart with how he views himself. He is also going to frustrate you and infuriate you with how he is now on a self sabotage mode with just about everything in his life. It goes without saying...he's male and he makes mistakes, but at the end of the day, he's just looking for love and he doesn't know how to ask for it.

Enter....well, I'll just say, you are absolutely going to love his love interest. She's the perfect match for Colm, but for now, I'd like to leave it a mystery. Just know she's strong, loving, and broken in her own way. Their broken parts match up to create a wholeness that beats to their own rhythm. It's a beautiful love story that will wrap around your insides and melt you.

For the final book, Maya does a great job of sprinkling all of the Kings throughout the story so you will love catching up or meeting them if you are new to the series.

This book was not only a roller-coaster of emotions but also an amazing way to finish this series, I loved every moment of it.⁣⁣
If you don't know this book is about Colm, he's a character that has been appearing since the first book and right now after an injury and a hard healing process, he's dealing with his mental health, Colm is really in a bad place he's really depressed and unmotivated, and I think my favorite part of this was seeing him trying and proving to himself that he's worthy and that he has people who love and support him. ⁣⁣
Imogen, on the other hand, is dealing with how people perceive and pity her for the death of her ex-boyfriend, she's also dealing with self-love and learning how to love again after something so horrible. ⁣⁣
This book was really emotional for me I cried like two or three times, there's nothing more beautiful that see two broken people helping each other to heal and grow from that hard place.⁣⁣
ps: I love how this group of friends is a really big family and see all of them happy makes me feel amazing ⁣⁣

Reading through the synopsis of the other books in the series didn't really catch my eye but this one was cute solid 3 ⭐. Rely wish the main couple could have just sat down and properly spoken to one another 3 misunderstandings in though. Would not have work if not for the dual POV.

Poslední díl série Kings of Rittenhouse. Dávám plný počet bodů, protože oba dva museli překonat jisté překážky, aby mohly být spolu.

A cute, fluffy read that has definitely raised my standards for fluffy reads in general. There were solid threads of realistic character development and even when I got upset at how the MCs responded to situations, it made sense with their backstory and they solved the issue with their partner by clearly communicating why they reacted that way. Healthy relationship-ing? We stan.

I was so intrigued by Colm, he was the most mysterious one and his story was one that I absolutely loved, I love the whole series, seeing it end is bittersweet, it took me a while to read the last chapters, I didn't want it to end. Colm and Imogen's story hooked me from the first page. I absolutely love antiheroes and having Colm portrayed like an arrogant and stubborn guy made me love him even more in this book. Maya Huges wrote an amazing book, a spectacular series and I can't wait to find out what comes next. Bravo great finale!

of all the king books this was definitely my favorite because i felt like their fights made the most sense and they weren’t split up for too long. i also really enjoyed the ending with the baby! also they entirely spoiled the baby cause that doesn’t happen until like halfway through wtf.
as i read: i like that the proposal was fake and not like they had a real relationship. when imo left colm and he like made her breakfast and everything awww i cried. i feel like her almost calling colm preston was a fair reason for her to run out like that makes sense. i kinda hate how much colm is mad at liv for not wanting to be a doctor like i get the sleeping with ford thing but like she’s saying she doesn’t want to why is he so mad. okay actually now that he’s kinda explaining what he did for her i get it a little more but still. like especially because of how much they both hated their parents being doctors. okay wait it’s been 3 months and she doesn’t realize she’s pregnant. okay so they have sex again and then she gets pregnant that makes more sense but also why tf did they put that in the synopsis it literally happens so late in the book. him seeing the ring and still thinking about a family with her is sweet and i like how all in he is. okay no she’s been pregnant fur 3 months omg bestie how do u not know??? ughhhhhh i already know that imogen knowing that they don’t want colm to renew his contract and not telling him will be the reason for their fight. what a fkn shocker they fight because she didn’t tell him. i hope he’s not mad at her about running away like i hope she explains it and he understands it.
