Incredibly underwhelmed by this. Small sections were interesting but mostly a slow story spanning several generations across various countries.

A really wonderful book that confirms Shamsie’s skill, and her ability to tell a devastating story that tackles a plethora of issues. She is so masterful at getting you to care about the lives of the characters, and I love how she sprinkles moments of light and dark into her books. My only critique is that I felt perhaps too many themes were at play, and some character perspectives were weaker then other's
