Wasn't sure how I feel about humans getting it on with Aliens but it was surprisingly hot lol. I liked all the characters and can't wait to read other characters stories.
Huh. I loved it. I really wasn’t sure if I’d love it or hate it and times I really questioned what the heck, but this was absolutely a fun ride in the most ridiculous way! I understand why it has a cult following. It’s not high literature and it doesn’t pretend to be, but it’s entertaining, surprisingly sweet, high stakes enough to get invested but not high enough to take it out of the “junk food fiction” pile…. It was just what I needed. Now excuse me, apparently there’s 20 other books I need to hunt down because this author has put in some work!
Oh, genuine warning for the first couple of chapters, it gets dark with the initial alien abduction and there is off page discussions of SA which made me wary going forward, but it was moved past fairly quickly and handled well. Older editions will have an on page scene according to the authors note, but in the special edition I got At Barnes and Nobel it had been removed.
