Nostalgia. Coming of age. Simply reminiscent and going back to the good ole days of being a kid! If you want to have a little break between some books and just remember what it was like growing up then Boys Life is for you and it does have a mysterious and weird twist to it that’s sprinkled in which was great since we’re journeying through the novel as a young boy. Unfortunately I was not born around this time so the emotional impact didn’t hit me as hard as I think it will for others but I still greatly appreciated McCammons writing and will definitely pick up other novels of his!

DNF…never really held my interest and I still had a long way to go. Might pick it up again one day but way overwritten and all over the place.
Was that... first person omniscient POV? Did the kid actually see ghosts or just have a very active imagination?
