This is such a touching story full of hope. I found Catherine's journey really interesting. How she went to report on such a devastating natural disaster and ended up finding her story and becoming attached to this child, even though thats something your not supposed to do as a journalist. And continued to rally for this young girl over the years. It really showed how decisions we make can have huge impact on people and their lives. This is a well-written memoir. It also showcased foreign journalism is pretty intense and interesting.

Thank You to the publisher for sending me this arc. Available Feb 26th.

A well- documented memoir of a journalist, who finds her first story as a foreign correspondent amidst the chaos of the earthquake in Haiti through the miraculous survival of a girl named Lovely.
