There were just a few nitpicks and inconsistencies I had with the syntax of this book, but omg I never would’ve dreamed I could still genuinely enjoy a YA romance novel this much.  The main character is super relatable, and I found myself not wanting to bash my head in reading her inner thoughts, which can sometimes be excruciating with this genre. I liked how the author went into depth about her insecurities, and I wish those were explored a bit more.

I thought it was unique how this book handled the clichés. It was maybe one of the most realistic and non-cliché books like this that I’ve ever read. Love!

Look, I’d it perfect? No. But she was hilarious and the one scene of the “Truth” game was freaking cute, makes me remember my first kisses with people. The cute build up.

this was a good read!

i think this was the first time i actually read a book that openly talks about acne, and the feelings of insecurity one gets with it. i thought that it was really refreshing to find a character speak about that, as i definitely relate. i actually related to a lot of the main character’s thoughts and feelings, which was, again, nice to read about; like the awkwardness of love and partying and growing up. the family aspect of this novel was also great. i think divorce and how kids typically handle that should be spoken about more often.

i loved that this book did not hold back on many of the everyday things people go through during the high school years. it was also funny as hell :)
