Laugh out loud funny!

If you’ve ever felt like a hot mess compared to other moms, this is for you. Ashley is a first-time mom who is (somewhat reluctantly) staying at home with her baby. She feels surrounded by perfect moms via social media and even in her own family. She does her best to measure up but fails miserably and hilariously.

I can’t say too much without giving it away, but I really liked this book!

Kind of funny, really light hearted, easy to plow through. This would have been a perfect beachy read, or a good palate cleanser

Laugh out loud funny, while touching on all the emotions and insecurities of moms, new ones and "seasoned" ones alike. Ashley reminded me of Becky Bloomwood of the Shopaholic series, which is one of my favorites.

Confessions of a Domestic Failure had some way out there slapstick moments (much like Shopaholic series) but also many moments that had me, as a mom, nodding my head in agreement. This was a light read, a really funny read, but also one that lets us all know that we don't have to be perfect. Even those moms who appear to be perfect may not be.

Great read. Check it out. Enjoy!

I liked that the book depicted a mom who doesn't have their life together, but none of the characters really grew or learned anything. I kept expecting that in the next challenge, she'd learn something and grow but again it was the same old. The book was fairly predictable as well. It was a cute quick read but not one I'd recommend.

This book was hilarious! On par with some of the best chick lit I’ve ever read (think Shopaholic series, Devil Wears Prada, etc.) It was just so relatable.

I love Bunmi Laditan and have been following her on Facebook for years. Her writing is so great, finding the humor in everyday experiences and objects. As a stay-at-home mom myself, I was relating to and giggling at this book throughout its entirety. Such a fun read! :)

It made me laugh, and kept me interested enough to finish, but I bought it solely based on Bunmi Laditan's most hilarious Facebook posts. After reading her book, I have to say I much prefer her FB posts and will definitely continue to look forward to them....but the book wasn't the same. Still great for Mom's though, a great laugh, especially for new Moms (which I am not, so that may be part of my problem).

A fun and somewhat realistic and relatable book about motherhood. Ashley is funny and a bit over the top but overall this was an enjoyable read especially for new moms or just moms in general.

I actually checked this one out accidentally. I was going through hoopla and this looked interesting, so I thought I marked it on my wishlist there or whatever. When I went back a few days later I saw that I had actually checked it out. Not wanting to let a book go to waste, I gave it a listen.

Honestly, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. But I just could not put it down. It was like everything I've ever wanted to read, as a mother. Because all too often I feel overlooked by my son and husband for the things I do to keep this household going, and I could never find a group of mothers to associate with on the regular while my spawnling was a wee lad.

The title grabbed my attention, so I took a chance. After reading some less than stellar reviews I did not have high expectations for this book.

I was reminded of my days as a new mom (before Facebook and Pinterest). They were pretty lonely and chalk full of first time mommy issues. I enjoyed this book and the honesty of the main character, Ashley. I love the spirit she had.
I look forward to my children raising their own children in this world of social media and unrealistic expectations.
