Oh finally a vampire, pirate and erotica book in one! Oh how long I have waited for something this wonderful!

And wonderful it is! Well written, with deep characters and an understanding for the medieval setting this book is definitely worth reading. It is rather short (its one great flaw!) but for all that packed with events and relationships.

I would have perhaps started the book with a bit more mystery... not exactly come forth with all vampire details right away, but the story moved faster because of it. Mystery first really only started to appear in the middle of the book, where there are a lot of allusions to what could be happening. Slightly irritating, but since the book is short of length you don't need to wait too long to find out!

I do, though, wish for a sequel. I don't find that the book ended on a bad note... just on one that could easily be continued. Into many many books. An entire series. This world-idea is just too wonderful to let it be in one book.
