I love this story sooooo much. And I like movie too
I tried to read this one again. I guess if you want to read about a truly horrible person who gets a happy ending, it's a great book. I'm glad that so many people love it so much, but I just don't.

I usually make sure to read the book before watching the film, but with this one I completely did it backwards. It was interesting seeing the major differences between the two (setting, characters, plot), and I found myself loving the author’s writing style more and more. While the first half felt a little flat/slow for me, toward the halfway mark I found the pacing improved. You can’t help but want to shout at Rebecca throughout the book, but also she is relatable. She is insecure in her career, not taken seriously, and seeks to prove she has what it takes to be happy and find her passion. I will definitely read the others in this series, and am looking forward to seeing how Rebecca’s journey continues.

Mmmm, my first of modern chick lit. I can't say I didn't enjoy it. I bought a mass market paperback (gasp!) copy of the book at the train station to curb my boredom on the ride, and there were a good number of times when I giggled to myself and shook my head in dismay and shock. A nice light read for sure, and just imagining Isla Fisher made it all the more amusing.

Rebecca's shenanigans are sometimes funny, but often times make me wince. She's such a mess and I kinda feel iffy for the few last chapters since the pacing is kinda rushed and her character development doesn't quite click with what I've been following so far. Quite a rollercoaster, gotta take some break before continuing to the next books.

I remember reading this book on my early 20's. I still remember the giggling and the good time reading it. It is typical chick lit but with a twist of shopaholic. The story is light beach reading type of book. Funny.
