Al principio me pareció un poco aburrido y me ha costado leerlo. Está bien, pero esperaba más. Todavía no he visto la serie y tengo muchas ganas pero creo que esperaré a leerme el segundo libro.

A fantastic read, took off .25 because it could get a little redundant at times (I don't mean on purpose, it could get a little slow and get into unnecessary details). I really enjoyed this book because it went into seemingly taboo topics with such grace and satirical humor that it was a rollercoaster. I enjoyed every minute of Offred, and I enjoyed how sophisticated the language was. Definitely, the type of language English teachers would want you to dissect, but it was so full of humor mixed with moments that made me stare at the ceiling for hours, wondering what I would do in different situations. It can get morally grey and deals with heavy topics but is still as relevant as it was decades ago. A true literary masterpiece that everyone should read, as it is eye-opening and makes you think.
