Another excellent instalment in the Flember series from Jamie Smart. My 10-year-old son and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Following Dev’s experiments with flember in book one he’s on a mission to find more flember and return the flember tree to full health. He and Boja set off together beyond the wall to follow the path to the flember stream. First though he has to brave the wildening and find out if anything else lives on the island.
Dev and Boja are fantastic again as the blunder and flail trying to do their best to fix more than they break. There are lots of funny moments (not just the fart scenes, although my son very much appreciated those) and plenty of touching ones too. A fabulous book, very much recommended.
